  • Very nice! Is that a factory John Deere cab?

  • Awesome paint job! You need a bigger snow blower!
Don wrote on Sunday, December 14, 2014 (PST):
  • The tractor cab on this 4020 was built for Deere & Company by the Hinson Division (Royal Industries), a company based out of Delaware but with a factory in Iowa. John Deere used these cabs from 71 to 72, whereupon they then decided to build their own with the introduction of Sound Gard Body as found on the new 1972 Generation II tractors.

  • Dan-Yes, I could use a bigger "blower", this one came off my open station 3020 simply because I no longer wished to sit outside in the cold. At the same time though it is almost impossible to find a JD blower of this vintage that is still in "reasonable" condition to fit this size of tractor. This blower will be 40 years old next year, will just have to go slower and take things a bit easier.

  • That is just great to see. My 4020 was the best tractor I ever had.

  • That is a beauty Don. I've got a 67, open station. I'd like to get 4 more of them!! The 72 would be nice to find!!
